I have one of the Hiplok Original locks, the one that looks like a belt, albeit a much heavier belt! I had a gander at the Z Lot’s and determined that they’d not really hold up against a good yank by a potential thief, and, as I live in an area which is plagued by bike thefts it makes sense to get something with a bit more strength, hence the original.
Oct 15, 2015 · There's plenty to be said in favour of a combination lock: you don't need to carry a key and it's a neat solution for popping into town. It still has a job to do though, that of keeping your bike safe from nefarious types, and that's where the Abus Tresor falls down: it simply isn't strong enough.
